The Philadelphia 76ers are facing a crossroads with James Harden.
His market value has reached an all-time low, and the only person who seems to value him as an MVP is Daryl Morey.
Harden has refused to partake in the team’s practices, and it seems like he’s not going to change his stance any time soon.
However, Morey seems to be unbothered by the situation.
Talking to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the executive stated that the Sixers will be a very good team with or without Harden.
And while he obviously acknowledges that they would be better with the former Houston Rockets star, he still has faith in the team’s ability to get the job done with the pieces they get in return for him.
“This year regardless of what happens with James, we’re going to be a very [bleeping] good team. If James is here, we’re going to be even better. If James isn’t here or we trade him for something, we’re going to be very good.”

The problem with Morey is that he’s not the kind of guy to meet other teams in the middle.
He sets a steep price for his assets, and not many teams are willing to meet it.
Harden reportedly wants to play for the Los Angeles Clippers, and the interest is mutual.
But there’s not much incentive to trade for an aging and injury-prone player with a history of forcing his way out of teams, especially when he’s in the final year of his contract.
Everybody knows that Morey has lost this battle and the sooner he comes to terms with that, the sooner his team will be able to move on and compete with the players who actually want to be there.
