The beginning of the 2023-24 NBA season begins tomorrow and basketball fans are in for a treat as they’ll see the Golden State Warriors take on the Phoenix Suns in the primetime game of the night.

The Warriors may have not been able to defend their championship last season, but they’re right in the mix in the Western Conference despite teams like the Suns standing in their way.

With a healthy Stephen Curry on the roster, Golden State has a chance to win any game though defensively the team will have some questions to answer.

The Warriors got exposed in the playoffs by the Los Angeles Lakers who dominated them in the painted area because of their lack of size.

Complicating matters further is that Draymond Green has been sidelined after suffering an ankle sprain right before preseason.

Although Green has been making progress, he was ruled out for tomorrow night against Phoenix via Shams Charania of The Athletic.

This was also the expectation for the former Defensive Player of the Year as he was initially expected to miss several weeks with the sprain.

Steve Kerr recently provided an update on Green where he said the veteran had started playing in three-on-three scrimmages but still needs to go through five-on-five with contact in order to be cleared to play.

Without Green, the Warriors will be relying on Kevon Looney to man the paint with players like Dario Saric having to play a larger role on that end as well.

With their first game coming against the loaded Phoenix offense, Golden State could find themselves struggling to get stops.
