The 2023 season has brought nothing but great things for Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia.
The 30-year-old slugger had a brilliant regular season, with a career-high 39 home runs and a .836 OPS.
He also scored 108 runs and drove in 107.
Then, he proceeded to take that dominant play to the playoffs and, more specifically, the American League Championship Series.
Two more home runs in the winner-take-all ALCS Game 7 against the Houston Astros crowned him as the MVP of that round.
His last three games were unbelievable, as demonstrated by OptaSTATS.
Last 3 games for the @Rangers‘ Adolis García:
6 H
4 HR
12 RBI
1 SB
1 HBP
The last MLB player to reach all of those numbers over any 3-game span (reg or post) was Lou Gehrig in 1930. pic.twitter.com/96uxeisl5L

Imagine being able to hit four home runs and drive in 12 runs (!) in a span of three games.
Now, imagine doing it in the defining three games of a League Championship Series, when your team needs you the most to secure the pennant.
That’s what Garcia just achieved.
It wasn’t always this easy for “El Bombi,” though.
He was designated for assignment by the St. Louis Cardinals in December 2019 and subsequently traded to the Rangers for just cash.
Then, in early 2020, he was also DFA’d by Texas, but since no one took him on waivers, the Rangers were able to outright him to the minors and invite him to spring training.
He played just three games with the Rangers in 2020, but broke out with 31 homers with them in 2021 and hasn’t looked back since then.
Now, he led his squad to its first World Series appearance since 2011 and is ready to give his all to gift the organization its first title.
