Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia, the recently crowned MVP of the American League Championship Series his team played against the Houston Astros, is a man of confidence.
He likes to celebrate his home runs, takes his time running around the bases, admires them when they leave his bat, and he has flair and style.
Many people don’t like this, but it’s the way he is: he is a showman.
He is intense, and that intensity is translated to the field and the batter’s box.
In the series against the Astros, many people criticized him for many of his antics.
He earned an ejection in Game 5 for being involved in a benches-clearing incident after being hit by a Bryan Abreu pitch just two innings after he homered.
He fed from the boos at Minute Maid Park in Games 6 and 7, and virtually eliminated the Astros all by himself with a 4-for-5, two-homer performance in the winner-take-all affair.
Garcia drove in 12 runs in the last three games of the series and homered four times over that span.
What did he write on his Twitter account?

Yep, that’s Adolis silencing his critics as the Rangers are going to the World Series for the first time since 2011.
Not only did he hit 39 home runs and drive in 107 runs in the regular season for Texas: he also has a 1.293 OPS in the 2023 postseason, with five round-trippers and 15 RBI in seven games.
A lot of people don’t like Garcia because they feel his attitude disrespects the game.
If anything, it makes it much more exciting whether you see him as cool or a villain.
