The Philadelphia 76ers might be one of the most discussed teams in the NBA this season.

Most of that is due to the ongoing James Harden saga.

But, many other teams are interested in seeing how Joel Embiid feels about staying in Philadelphia.

He is the reigning league MVP but has never had any substantial postseason success.

He has never made it to a conference finals.

Embiid is starting to get labeled as a great regular-season player but a playoff choker.

This Harden saga could be what makes Embiid say enough is enough.

29 other teams should be interested in Embiid’s services if he wants to leave.

But, only a contending team would be most likely to end up with him.

According to Chris Haynes via NBACentral, rival teams are keeping a close eye on how much more Embiid is willing to endure.

We rarely see an MVP in the prime of his career get traded.

But, if the 76ers want to start a rebuild, he is the one who can get them the best package.

One potential trade that has been thrown around is Embiid going to the New York Knicks.

The Knicks would likely send RJ Barrett, Julius Randle, and a few other assets back to the 76ers.

If the Sixers are to trade Embiid you would think they prefer it to be out of conference.

Sending him to the West means the Sixers would only have to face him twice a year.

Overall, the likelihood of Embiid getting traded this season is small.

But, when it comes to the NBA, never say never.
