Throughout the course of their history, the Milwaukee Bucks went through plenty of ups and downs, often struggling to find a franchise-caliber player.

Even the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar wound up leaving the team after outgrowing the small market.

Decades later, the fans finally got what they deserved with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s arrival, and it didn’t take long before he turned them into a legitimate powerhouse.

That’s why it’s not far-fetched to say that Giannis has already passed Kareem as the greatest player in franchise history, and the numbers back it up as well.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, Giannis became the Bucks’ all-time leader in field goals made on Thursday.

Giannis has gone to great lengths to secure his spot as the greatest player to ever don that jersey.

Against all odds and despite all the speculation, he signed that big contract to stay with the team and then led it to its first NBA championship in five decades.

Then, just weeks after stating that he wouldn’t sign an extension because it didn’t make sense, financially speaking, he inked his signature on a new deal to stay with the team even further.

His impact on the Bucks goes way beyond the court.

There are more fans in attendance, the team’s revenue and value have sky-rocketed, and they’ve become a global brand because of him.

And when it’s all said and done, there’s a big chance that he’ll be on top of every single all-time list in this franchise’s history.
