Giannis Antetokounmpo Has Big Reaction After Beating 76ers

Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks definitely went to bed very happy on Thursday night.

After a wild and exciting summer, his team won their opening game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

And it was all made possible by the hard work of Antetokounmpo with Damian Lillard.

Following the game, Antetokounmpo posted a picture of him and his new teammate on the floor with the caption: “Great start.”

It was definitely a wonderful beginning for the season, with Antetokounmpo and Lillard scoring 23 and 39 points, respectively.

In just 48 minutes, these two put the rest of the NBA on notice and showed why the Bucks were so lucky to land Lillard during the offseason.

Now these two will have to get to work at the hard task of remaining consistent for the many months ahead of them.

They certainly had a great start but they also showed how they could improve, including on the defensive end of the court.

All other teams in the league will now be targeting the Bucks even more because they see what they are capable of.

The competition is going to be fierce and Antetokounmpo and Lillard need to be prepared for that.

They also need to keep in mind that a good start doesn’t ensure a good ending.

Milwaukee had the best record in the East last season and still ended up being pushed out of the first round of the playoffs by the Miami Heat.

This will be a marathon, not a sprint, for the Bucks.

With that being said, the marathon certainly got started the right way on Thursday.
