Pelicans HC Makes Bold Claim About Star Duo

The New Orleans Pelicans are currently undefeated.

Obviously, the season is very long and there is tough competition for all of it but the team is off to a great start.

This is partly because of the incredible combination of lead players Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.

According to the New Orleans Times, via NBACentral, head coach Willie Green has a lot of praise for this duo.

“I am going to keep saying it. Best freaking duo in the NBA. They don’t talk about you enough. Best freaking duo in the NBA,” Green said.

Williamson and Ingram have burst into 2023-24.

In their first game, Williamson recorded 23 points and 7 rebounds while Ingram was good for 19 points and 7 rebounds.

In their second game against the New York Knicks, Williamson scored 24 points while Ingram led the team with 26.

They are definitely playing incredibly well together.

Anyone who has watched this team for the last few years isn’t surprised by the synergy Williamson and Ingram have found.

They are both the sort of players who could lead their own respective teams so it makes sense they’d be so impressive as a pair for the Pelicans.

The only problem is that Williamson and Ingram haven’t had a whole lot of chances to play together due to their history of injuries.

Fans are hoping that this will be the year they both remain healthy and continue to build chemistry and success together.

Although they may be the duo at the center of things, the Pelicans absolutely have other stars too.

CJ McCollum, Jonas Valanciunas, and Herb Jones are just a few of the other standout players finding success with the group.

The whole team is helping this duo shine even brighter.
