Even the most successful and talented NBA stars are in awe of Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs.
Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers has never been known as the most talkative or vocal man.
But he opened up about Wembanyama and his talents on Sunday night.
“He’s going to be good. Once he figures out where he’s going to be getting his shots and reading defenses, I think he’s going to be good,” Leonard said about the Spurs star, according to a video from Tomer Azarly, via ClutchPoints.

Leonard’s statement came just moments after his Clippers destroyed Wembanyama’s Spurs, 123-83.
During that game, Leonard led the Clippers with 21 points.
As for Wembanyama, he wasn’t able to find an answer for the tough Clippers defense and had just 11 points and 5 rebounds.
Those are the lowest numbers of his young basketball career.
Wembanyama is definitely showing a ton of potential and promise and has had some impressive moments so far during his first three games.
But it’s clear that he is adjusting to playing in the NBA and there are some apparent growing pains popping up.
This happens with most rookies, even the most talented ones.
And in the months ahead, Wembanyama could get a lot better, as Leonard suggested.
Up next for Wembanyama and his Spurs are two games against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday and Thursday night.
Then they will take on the Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers, and New York Knicks.
He might not find victory in each of those games, but they will give Wembanyama a chance to learn from the best of the league and improve his game.
