Not so long ago, James Harden was in the conversation of being the best player in the NBA.

He had some historic scoring runs with the Houston Rockets, and while he failed to lead his team to the NBA Finals, it seemed like he might stay there for the remainder of his career.

Fast forward to today, and Harden has been traded yet again.

With his trade to the Los Angeles Clippers, the former MVP will now suit up for his fourth team since 2021 (via Bleacher Report).

Harden forced his way out of the Rockets by showing up late and overweight to training camp and then publicly bashing his teammates after a loss.

He got his wish of being reunited with Kevin Durant, teaming up with him and Kyrie Irving with the Brooklyn Nets, just to force his way out again, this time behind closed doors, as soon as Durant got hurt.

Harden helped Joel Embiid have an MVP season with the Philadelphia 76ers, led the league in assists, and had an incredible performance in the playoffs before back-to-back no-shows vs. the Boston Celtics.

Then, he forced his way out of the team by calling out Philadelphia’s president of basketball operations, Daryl Morey, the guy he wanted to be reunited with in the first place.

All things considered, this could be Harden’s final stop in the league, as teams may be less prone to give him the massive payday he’s seeking.
