So far, so good for the new-look Boston Celtics.

Joe Mazzulla’s team is sitting on a perfect 3-0 record and is one of just three undefeated teams remaining in the NBA.

However, just like last season, they’ve looked stagnant at times and have had some rough patches during games, and that’s always been a worrisome trend with Mazzulla in charge.

Fortunately, their depth and talent have often been enough to bail them out, but Jaylen Brown believes that could be part of the problem and not the solution.

When asked about their approach and mindset for the season, the talented guard warned that talent could invite laziness and complacency, which is why the veterans will have to lead the way and prove that they cannot take breaks if they want to take the team all the way to the finish line (via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston).

Brown wants everybody to know that the Celtics could be their own worst enemy this season and that they’re the only thing standing in the way of their success.

The Celtics added Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis in the offseason, putting together one of the most stacked lineups in basketball.

The era of star duos and even Big 3s seems to be a thing of the past now, with the Los Angeles Clippers also trading for James Harden to pair him with Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard.

But as we’ve seen multiple times in recent years, including with the Celtics, talent alone won’t win basketball games, so they need to stay locked in.
