The New England Patriots season has yielded results that the team was not expecting heading into the year.
Through eight games, the Patriots hold a 2-6 record, which leaves them in last place in the AFC East.
One of their biggest obstacles has been multiple injury concerns.
Kendrick Bourne was the latest Patriot to fall to injury, suffering from a season-ending ACL tear.
While this was a devasting blow to the Patriots’ receiving room, Bourne posted a positive tweet, indicating that he is doing well.
THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL THE PRAYERS! GOD HAS A PLAN FOR ME! AND IM GOING TO ATTACK REHAB!

He thanked Patriots fans for their prayers, also adding that he is going to “attack rehab.”
ACL injuries have changed over the past several years.
What was a potential career-ending injury in years past has turned into an injury that many players are coming back from.
For example, Breece Hall tore his ACL during the 2022 season but is now performing well and is still explosive for the New York Jets.
Although it is unfortunate for Bourne to miss the rest of the year, he doesn’t seem bothered by the ensuing recovery period.
The Patriots will need to make do without him for the remainder of the season as they try to figure out what else is next for the organization.
Serious questions have been asked about Mac Jones’ ability to lead this team, which might be answered by the end of the year.
If he can’t turn things around, the team’s hand might be forced, moving them to make a change at the position during the offseason.
