It’s been 21 years since LeBron James made his NBA debut, and he continues to be at the top of his game.

Granted that he’s not much of a presence on the defensive end of the floor and that he was completely exhausted last season, but no player should be able to do what James is doing at 38 years of age.

That’s why, following his outstanding performance over the Los Angeles Clippers, former NBA guard Lou Williams had a GOAT endorsement for James, urging people to just give him his flowers (via Run It Back and NBACentral).

James put up a masterclass against the Clippers to will the Lakers to their third win of the season, defying Father Time again.

There’s no way to take anything away from James and what he has accomplished throughout his career.

His résumé speaks for itself.

No other player has been as durable as him, at least not in the sense of being that productive.

We can think of guys like Tim Duncan or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who also played on both ends of the floor, but none of them had the offensive impact James is having in his 21st season.

As for being the greatest of all time, that debate seems a little out of date right now.

Even the players have talked about there not being a point in talking about just one GOAT, mostly because we’re talking about players from different eras, playing different positions, and under a different set of rules.
