Bold and outlandish takes are all too common in sports these days because those takes, depending on the analyst and outlet they come from, tend to create a lot of buzz and conversation, which obviously leads to rating spikes.
With every talking head in the media spewing out their hot takes about the Los Angeles Clippers after the team acquired superstar guard James Harden this week, it sheds light on what will be a difficult decision for head coach Tyronn Lue and his coaching staff.
The Clippers now have four legitimate star players who have all had extensive experience in being the best player on an NBA team and basically running the show for a franchise.
That means there will be a lot of egos in that Clippers locker room and a small margin for error, as all of these players have forced their way out of situations with other teams around the league when things didn’t go their way.
As he tends to do on a daily basis, ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins had a bold take about this situation in Los Angeles, as he believes Harden should come off the bench, which sparked quite a reaction from 76ers guard Patrick Beverley on Twitter.
That’s cap No you won’t. U would start him or you would be fired that summer. https://t.co/nR2GJdzpzS

At this point in time, there’s no telling what Lue will do when the time comes that he’ll have all four of these star players available to play.
When that time comes, Lue will almost certainly explore all options, with either Russell Westbrook or Harden coming off the bench.
