Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Clippers were finally able to pull off the blockbuster trade for superstar guard James Harden in a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, which instantly thrust the team into the spotlight as a potential title contender in the Western Conference.
However, with Harden joining forces with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook, there have been a lot of questions about what role the former NBA MVP would play in Los Angeles.
It was uncertain whether Harden or Westbrook would come off the bench or if head coach Tyronn Lue wanted to roll with all four star players in the starting lineup.
Even though Lue hasn’t come out and said what he plans to do with all these star players on his roster, many have started to speculate that Westbrook could be headed for another bench role.
According to Rachel Nichols of FOX Sports via “Undisputed,” the team had Westbrook’s blessing to bring in Harden, and there’s a possibility that these two could be staggered moving forward until Lue figures out what works best for the Clippers.
.@Rachel__Nichols says Russell Westbrook approved James Harden joining the team:

At this point, there’s a lot of potential for this new superstar squad to be the new team to beat in the NBA, as no other squad in the league has this kind of firepower, but there’s also a possibility that it could go horribly wrong.
Westbrook’s stint with the Los Angeles Lakers was forgettable, to say the least, because he had no idea how to be anything other than the No. 1 or No. 2 option on the team.
Harden could head in the same direction, especially if things go haywire with Westbrook.
