The Las Vegas Raiders are amid a very disappointing season.

They are 3-5 and just fired their head coach Josh McDaniels.

But, McDaniels was not the only one to go.

The Raiders also fired their offensive coordinator and GM.

It was clear changes needed to be made, and owner Mark Davis made it happen.

Now the Raiders will bring in interim head coach Antonio Pierce to try and revitalize the team.

Pierce was a former player and this will be his first stint as a head coach.

Even with a rough first eight weeks, the Raiders seem to be rejuvenated after the recent changes.

Pat McAfee spoke on his show about the Raiders and their rest-of-season outlook.

McAfee said: “It feels like Davante Adams and that Raiders team is revitalized.”

Outside of the coaching staff, the Raiders also announced a change at quarterback.

Jimmy Garoppolo has been benched in favor of Aidan O’Connell.

O’Connell was the Raiders’ fourth-round pick in the most recent NFL Draft.

He has already played in two games this season including one start.

In the preseason, O’Connell was one of the shining stars.

He showed poise and played like someone who may start in the NFL for a long time.

There are going to be some growing pains now that O’Connell has been thrust in as the starter mid-season.

But, he is more than capable of keeping his head above water and allowing the Raiders to remain competitive.

The times are changing in Las Vegas, and the team has been revitalized because of it.
