The NFL is obviously the most competitive football league on Earth, but even among its teams, there are different tiers.

Some divisions haven’t fared as well lately, while others have set the tone for what competitiveness should look like.

Among the latter group, the AFC North stands alone.

That’s because, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, all four teams in the division would qualify for the playoffs right now.

After Cincinnati’s Sunday night win over Buffalo, all four AFC North teams currently would qualify for the playoffs.

Even with their offensive struggles, the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to find ways to win games, and they’re sitting on a 5-3 record.

The Cleveland Browns have the very same record, and that’s despite having Deshaun Watson missing games thus far, being mostly led by their championship-caliber defense and strong running game.

The Cincinnati Bengals, also with a 5-3 record, are sitting at the bottom of the division, yet they would still qualify for the playoffs.

Joe Burrow got off to a terrible start to the season, mostly because of the calf injury he suffered in the preseason, but he’s now back on track, and they’re back to being a legitimate contender to reach the Super Bowl.

Last but not least, we find the 7-2 Baltimore Ravens, a team that has been incredibly dominant defensively and whose new-look offense has exploded week in and week out.

Notably, one of their two losses came against a divisional rival, which also speaks volumes of this division’s competitiveness.

Some teams are obviously better than others, but watching the race to the top of the AFC North will be quite exciting.
