Wide receiver A.J. Brown is having a tremendous season for the Philadelphia Eagles, and he is second in the NFL with 1,005 receiving yards through nine games.

He was somewhat quiet on Sunday, as the Dallas Cowboys held him to 66 yards on seven catches, but those are numbers most other wideouts would gladly take.

The Eagles defeated the Cowboys, 28-23, to improve to 8-1 on the season, and with their bye week coming up, Brown found the time to praise the Denver Broncos’ Patrick Surtain II for being the best cornerback in the league, via “Speak.”

Surtain is only in his third pro season, but last year he was named to both the Pro Bowl and All-Pro First Team while recording 10 passes defended, two interceptions, and two tackles for loss.

Brown hasn’t faced Surtain yet in a regular season game, and he will have to wait a while to go up against him, as the Eagles will not play the Broncos this season.

Some may say the Eagles haven’t been playing up to their full ability this season, but it is fair to say they’re motivated after losing in last season’s Super Bowl to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Philly ran up a 10-point lead at halftime of the contest, only to fall apart in the second half and lose the world championship on a last-second field goal by Harrison Butker.

After their bye week, they will get a shot at achieving a bit of revenge when they visit the Chiefs on Monday Night Football on November 20.
