The Los Angeles Clippers recently traded for James Harden, ending a major saga that went on for weeks.

Harden joins three other All-Stars on the Clippers, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Russell Westbrook.

His presence has already invigorated the fanbase, who are hopefully in store for elite basketball provided these four can work together efficiently.

With four stars on the same team comes great anticipation and expectation.

Kendrick Perkins recently outlined these expectations in a segment of the NBA on ESPN.

Perkins said, “The worst-case scenario is them not making the Conference Finals.”

Perkins also said this season would be a “disaster” if the Clippers don’t advance far into the playoffs.

He is under the firm belief that, with this level of investment and star power, the Clippers shouldn’t have a problem mowing down their competition.

The Clippers lost in the first round of the playoffs last season and the Conference Finals in the 2020-2021 season.

With any luck, as Perkins mentions, Harden will make a massive impact on this team, leading them on a deep playoff run.

Harden made his Clippers debut on November 6th against the New York Knicks.

In 31 minutes, Harden scored 17 points, contributing six assists and three rebounds.

On a team with three other elite players, this seems to be an achievable stat line on a nightly basis.

The Clippers don’t necessarily need Harden to be a superstar, they just need him to be active and on the floor.

If he can stay healthy, his veteran presence should help propel them for the rest of the season.
