The Los Angeles Clippers took a big swing for the fences when they decided to trade for James Harden.

Harden is obviously one of the best players of his generation, but he does come with plenty of baggage.

He’s had issues and burned bridges with every single team he’s played for, and there’s no reason to think that’s not going to be the case in Los Angeles as well.

At least, that’s how NBA insider Tom Haberstroh seems to think.

In the latest edition of the Ball Don’t Lie podcast, Haberstroh predicted that it’s just a matter of time before Harden is unhappy with the Clippers.

Judging by his history, he believes there will be one thing that will just make him lose his temper and force another trade because that’s just who he is.

Truth be told, it’s hard to trust him at this point.

He’s forced his way out of three teams in the past four years, regardless of how much they’re willing to do for him or how favorable the situation is.

Nonetheless, this might be his final shot in the league.

No one was willing to give him a max contract last summer, and teams were unmoved by his trade availability now.

Doors are starting to shut down right in front of him, which is what happens when you’re an aging player who brings more trouble than championships to the table.

In reality, he needs the Clippers way more than the Clippers need him right now.
