The Milwaukee Bucks made all the headlines earlier this year after acquiring Damian Lillard via a blockbuster trade from the Portland Trail Blazers.
Lillard’s arrival was expected to make the Bucks the favorites to win it all during the 2023-24 NBA season.
Despite being off to a somewhat shaky start, the Bucks currently have a 4-2 record in the Eastern Conference as they hold the third seed.
However, the duo of Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo is unsatisfied with being the third seed in the conference.
It’s evident from the fact that the duo was working out together at Antetokounmpo’s house, as revealed by Chris Haynes via Basketball On X.

Sure, Lillard and Antetokounmpo are elite players individually, but when playing together, they need time to develop chemistry, just like any other duo in the league.
Given Haynes’ report is true, the duo is aware of a slight lack of chemistry between themselves and they are working feverishly to improve that flaw.
So far this season, Antetokounmpo is averaging 26.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game for the Bucks.
On the other hand, Lillard has put up 22.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game for his new team.
A key reason behind Lillard’s underwhelming numbers is his low shooting percentage.
The 7x NBA All-Star is shooting just 40.0% from the field.
Considering Lillard is a volume shot-taker, his shooting percentage is expected to be in the mid-40s, so in order to win the NBA Championship, the veteran point guard needs to improve this aspect of his game.
