The Golden State Warriors look much better than they did last season.
While the skepticism about Chris Paul’s fit with the team wasn’t without merit, the early returns prove that trading for him was a great decision.
Warriors insider Anthony Slater explained that the fans have already embraced Paul as one of their own because of the great job he’s doing at fixing the team’s issues from last season (via 95.7 The Game).

Coach Steve Kerr talked about how much the Warriors struggled to take care of the basketball last season, which is part of the reason they brought Paul in.
Thus far, Paul’s ability to take care of the ball has been on full display, and it seems to be rubbing off on his teammates.
On top of that, Paul is doing wonders for the second unit, which often looked stagnant last year, with Jordan Poole doing most of the shooting and making erratic decisions.
Paul has had a tremendous impact on the team despite barely scoring.
His playmaking and basketball IQ have opened up plenty of shots for everybody, and he’s made the players around him better.
It will always seem strange to see Paul wearing a Warriors jersey, given that he has played for many of their staunchest rivals, including the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, and Houston Rockets.
But that’s just the way things go in this line of business.
Paul and the Warriors were obviously able to put their differences aside to find common ground and pursue their common goal of winning a championship.
