C.J. Stroud has completely revitalized the Houston Texans‘ offense.

This was a team that only won three games in 2022 but has now been competing like a playoff team under his guidance.

Many analysts have already seemingly cast their ballot for Stroud, believing he will win Rookie of the Year.

While this is a widespread belief among the NFL community, Keyshawn Johnson recently took the Stroud hype a step further.

In a recent appearance on “Undisputed,” Johnson made a case for Stroud to be an MVP candidate as well.

Through eight games, Stroud has the seventh-most passing yards in the league.

Several of the quarterbacks above him in the rankings, including Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and Tua Tagavoiloa, have not had their bye weeks.

All three quarterbacks have byes in Week 10, giving Stroud a chance to catch up to their numbers after he plays his ninth game.

He currently has 2,270 yards on the season, and can easily pass Hurts and Mahomes this week.

It would be a tall task for him to overtake Tagovailoa given that he has nearly 400 more yards on the season than Stroud.

Regardless of where he ends up after this week, Stroud has proved that he can hang with the best of them.

His touchdown to interception ratio is nearly unheard of, throwing 14 touchdown passes to just one interception.

Stroud’s propensity to play nearly mistake-free football has helped the Texans get where they are to this point in the year.

Can he continue to play well enough to keep him in the MVP conversation?
