They have started the season with a 7-2 record, playing better than many expected heading into the year.
One of the reasons the Ravens have been so successful is their strong defense, which is currently the best in the league based on points allowed per game.
Lamar Jackson recently spoke about the strength of their defense in a conversation with reporter Sarah Ellison.
Jackson said that the Ravens’ defense “has no weakness,” adding how well they can disguise coverage.
Lamar Jackson: “I’m not trying to toot our own horn, but I believe our defense has no weakness. … And how they’re disguising it to look like one coverage, but it’s something else. … That helps us out a lot because when we’re playing other teams, they’re flying around and…

Jackson and the Ravens’ offense play against their defense in practice.
Given the strength of both units, it has been a mutually beneficial relationship en route to a successful season thus far.
Jackson has played himself into the MVP race, improving as a passer while maintaining a strong presence as a rusher.
Several factors have played into the success of the Ravens, making them one of the most dangerous teams in the AFC.
They are currently tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the best record in the conference, a mark they would like to continue moving forward.
With upcoming games against the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals, the Ravens will have more chances to demonstrate their standing as Super Bowl contenders.
The hype around this team continues to grow as the season goes on, and it will seemingly keep increasing if the Ravens keep winning.
Can they keep this pace up for the rest of the year, hoping to make a massive splash in the playoffs?
