The Miami Heat didn’t get a lot from Tyler Herro on Wednesday night.
That’s not beacuse Herro wasn’t playing well, but because he got injured and only played in 8 minutes of the game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Now, Herro is expected to miss a couple of weeks due to the ankle injury he suffered, according to Ira Winderman, via Legion Hoops.
“I heard some like crunching and cracks in my ankle,” Herro said about the mishap.

During his brief stint with the team on Wednesday night, Herro put up 6 points, 1 rebound, and 2 assists.
It looked like he was on his way to having another great game – and then disaster struck.
So far this season, Herro has been sensational, averaging 22.9 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists.
Those are easily some of the best numbers of his career and he’s been a vital part of the team’s lineup.
The Heat need Herro because they currently have a 4-4 record and wish to secure a strong presence in a very crowded, very talented Eastern Conference.
Herro is coming back after a long absence.
He injured his hand at the start of last season’s playoffs and missed all of the postseason, forced to watch his team push all the way to the NBA Finals without him.
After a summer of endless trade speculation, Herro returned with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove.
He had been doing just that until this new ankle injury popped up.
Now the Heat will once again have to get used to a lineup that doesn’t feature Herro or his special brand of high-energy, high-intensity offense.
