The Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans will be tied to each other, at least for a while.

That’s because the Bryce Young – C.J. Stroud comparisons will never go away.

Young was the consensus No. 1 pick and entered the league with high expectations, yet he’s looked terrible through the first half of the season.

Stroud, on the other hand, looks like a superstar in the making, and he’s been one of the most exciting rookies to watch thus far.

It’s hard to come up with what has been wrong with Young thus far, as they’ve even adapted the playbook to his game and have tried to make everything easier for him in terms of play-calling, yet he continues to struggle.

That’s why NFL analyst Pete Prisco urged people to stop making up excuses for him already.

Granted that he plays behind one of the worst offensive lines in the game, but Prisco pointed out the fact that Stroud has won games with four backups starting on the offensive line and doesn’t have any sort of support from his running game.

The excuses for Bryce Young are endless. C.J. Stroud won games with four backup starters on the o-line and it’s not like he has a running game. Young just isn’t playing well.

Young has looked way over his head at times, failing to make obvious reads, and forcing things more often than not.

His football IQ and ability to break down opponents’ defenses were his most impressive traits in college.

He’s obviously not an impressive athlete and is one of the shortest quarterbacks of all time, so if the mental side also fails, there’s not so much he’ll be able to do in the National Football League.
