The Washington Commanders have had their fair share of ups and downs this season.

However, they’re 4-5 and have half of the season ahead of them, so there’s still a chance that they wind up making the playoffs.

With that in mind, HC Ron Rivera talked about Eric Bieniemy’s impact on the team as they look to make a turnaround.

In his recent appearance on Good Morning Football, he stated that Bieniemy’s presence has been quite positive because of how young the offensive group of players is, adding that they’re all developing at the same time.

He also thinks that Bieniemy has had a positive impact on Sam Howell in the sense of game-planning and letting him know just what he needs from him week in and week out.

Rivera is confident in the fact that his team could play complementary football and make the promised land, but he knows it’s going to take a big effort.

Truth be told, most insiders predicted that the Commanders had hired Bieniemy to replace Rivera if things went south early in the season.

And while it seems like he’s safe for now, it wouldn’t be shocking to see that happen at some point in the future.

The Commanders have new owners, draft capital, and financial flexibility.

That means they’re going to be very aggressive making moves in the offseason and will enter the campaign with high aspirations.

Rivera will need to meet those aspirations or he could be talking about his replacement right now.
