The New York Knicks and Evan Fournier are no longer a good match.
Tom Thibodeau refuses to play the French guard, even after playing him by giving him 76 minutes in the preseason.
The Knicks have struggled mightily from beyond the arc, and while Fournier isn’t exactly an instant offensive spark, he’s a career 38% shooter from three, not to mention the franchise’s record-holder in that regard.
At this point, it seems more personal than anything else.
With that in mind, it wasn’t surprising to see Fournier taking to Twitter to share a cryptic message about his situation.
It’s not the first time that Fournier has addressed his current status with the team.
He’s openly stated that they should just trade him if they’re not going to play him, as they’re pretty much wasting the sunset years of his NBA career.
Stay true to yourself and keep a pure heart even during the most challenging times ! Have a great day everyone

Truth be told, moving a guy like Fournier isn’t easy at all.
He makes a lot of money for a role player, and the fact that he’s openly requested to be traded only lowers his trade value.
But now that he’s entering the final year of his contract, it finally makes financial sense for the Knicks — or any other team to make a move for him.
The Knicks have been up and down offensively this season, but Fournier hasn’t seen the floor.
It seems like he’s not going to play at all, not even in garbage time, so he has every right to be angry and frustrated with Thibodeau’s management of his career.
