The Houston Texans have found a legit superstar in C.J. Stroud.
He hasn’t just been the most exciting rookie to watch this season; he’s been one of the best quarterbacks in the game, period.
Just when it seems like he cannot be any more impressive, the Ohio State product has another trick up his sleeve and leaves you in awe again.
That’s why, following his impressive performance on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe and Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson talked about him being a legit MVP candidate (via Nightcap).

Sharpe stated that Stroud already has the Offensive Rookie of the Year in the bag, and it’s time people have a serious conversation about him being in the MVP conversation.
He adds that he outplayed Joe Burrow in a game where Burrow didn’t play badly at all, talking about him having so much poise in his ability to play the game.
Ochocinco asked when was the last time that we saw a rookie quarterback play the way he’s played.
Stroud completed 23 of 39 passes for 356 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the win.
He added a couple of rushes for eight yards and another score.
He’s led the Texans to a surprising 5-4 record on the season despite having no running game and a subpar offensive line.
For the season, he’s thrown for 2,626 yards on a 61.6% completion rate, adding 15 touchdowns to just two interceptions.
His ability to extend plays, take care of the football, and make everybody around him better is just so impressive for a guy his age and with so little experience.
He’s not just the best rookie in the game, he’s already one of the best players.
