There was a lot of hype surrounding the Detroit Lions before the start of the season.
For the first time since they moved to Ford Field, fans bought all the season tickets and even started following the team all over the county.
That has paid off thus far, as they have one of the best records in the league and have gone toe-to-toe with some good teams this season.
That’s why, following their offensive explosion against Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers, former NFL star Tony Romo went on record to laud them and even predicted that they could end up winning the Super Bowl this season (via NFL on CBS).

Dan Campbell’s team has improved a lot since he took over.
He turned their defense around with some major additions this offseason, and they have a plethora of playmakers on the offensive side of the field.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, and Jahmyr Gibbs give Jared Goff more than enough options on every dropback.
They’ve already proven that they can beat winning teams by taking down Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the season opener, but they did raise some doubts in that game vs. the Baltimore Ravens.
Truth be told, perhaps aiming for a Super Bowl banner could be a little unrealistic for the time being.
But there is absolutely no doubt that this team is definitely heading in the right direction, and it shouldn’t take long before they’re finally considered a Super Bowl-caliber team.
