For years now, multiple teams have been interested in trading for Zach LaVine but the Chicago Bulls have reportedly always said no to any possible trade.

But has the front office finally changed its mind?

According to Shams Charania, via Legion Hoops, NBA teams are again “probing the availability” of LaVine.

However, there is now an “increased openness” from both the player and the team about a trade featuring LaVine.

LaVine, a two-time All-Star who is 28 years old, is currently in his seventh season with the Bulls.

He is currently averaging 21.9 points, 3 assists, and 4.8 rebounds and is one of the most reliable starters for the team.

LaVine is still a valuable player for the Bulls but they are still in very bad shape and they might view him as a trade asset now.

The team has a 4-7 record and it’s become increasingly clear that something has to change within the organization.

If the Bulls move forward with a LaVine deal, it might be one of many.

The front office could also part ways with others like DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso too.

A few seasons ago, they were briefly one of the most exciting teams in the East but a tough conference, bad luck, and the continuing absence of Lonzo Ball has thrown the team into disarray.

The news of LaVine’s possible departure means that a shake-up could be on the horizon.

As mentioned, there are numerous teams who have shown interest in LaVine in the past but talks have never developed.

However, if the Bulls are really serious about making this happen, their phone will start to ring immediately.
