Next month, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will turn 39 years old, and somehow, he’s still going strong as the face of the storied franchise in the City of Angels.

Even though it has been a bumpy ride for the Lakers throughout the first few weeks of the 2023-24 NBA season, with a lot of injuries starting to pile up, James has been as advertised despite playing more minutes than he or the coaching staff would like him playing at this point in his career.

James continues to put on a show on the basketball floor on a nightly basis for the Lakers as he tries to keep Father Time at bay for a little while longer.

Despite many seemingly waiting for him to drop off physically, James continues to endure the rigors of an NBA season and put up numbers while keeping the Lakers competitive, as he believes there’s nothing he can’t do, according to Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints via Legion Hoops.

Quite literally, only time will tell how much longer James will be able to play at a high level and continue playing in the league, as he hasn’t shown considerable signs of slowing down even at this advanced age when most professional athletes are either retired or seriously considering calling it a career.

The main concern for James moving forward is staying healthy, which will be easier when he’s playing fewer minutes, but the Lakers have struggled enough to where the team needs him on the floor as much as possible.
