After it became clear that the James Harden experiment was headed in the wrong direction for the Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks broadcaster Brian Dameris went scorched earth when talking about the former NBA MVP on a broadcast.

Dameris didn’t hold back in his assessment of Harden and where the Clippers are headed with their attempt to make it work with four aging superstars, and a lot of people actually praised him because he said what everything was thinking about the situation in Los Angeles.

Even though Dameris was highly praised for his criticism of the Clippers and Harden, not everyone was thrilled about the commentary from the Mavericks broadcaster, namely Harden himself.

The veteran shooting guard went right back at Dameris for his critical comments and also didn’t hold back when talking about what was said and how he thought it was disrespectful, via NBACentral.

James Harden fires back at Mavs broadcaster Brian Dameris

“He doesn’t know me or the situation. That would be f*cked up if I went at him and started being disrespectful to him but I can’t. They don’t know anything. They just go off what they see on social media or hearsay.”… pic.twitter.com/qG9QDo17j2

Everyone has a right to their opinion, especially when it comes to professional sports these days, with so many talking heads having shows and strong opinions on a daily basis, so Dameris wasn’t entirely wrong for what he did.

Much like Dameris, Harden can respond and say whatever he wants, even though he claims he can’t be disrespectful back to the Mavericks broadcaster.

The fact is that the Clippers have been awful since this blockbuster trade was made, with not a single win thus far, which is going to open things up for criticism, especially with the incredibly high expectations in Los Angeles with so much talent on the squad.
