The New England Patriots have struggled more than many anticipated throughout the year.

Their 2-8 start to the year has caused frustration in their locker room, leading to fingers being pointed at certain individuals.

Bill Belichick has been on the hot seat this year, as well as Mac Jones and several others on this roster.

Jack Jones, one of the Patriots’ draft picks from 2022, was recently released from the team.

He was a causality amid the team’s struggles.

At the time, this release seemed like a harsh cut to many fans, but Jones recently made it sound like this was a good move for his career.

According to reporter Paul Gutierrez, Jones said, “I would say it wasn’t the best fit.”

New #Raiders CB Jack Jones, on how he would describe his exit from the #Patriots: “I would say it wasn’t the best fit. I can’t really speak too much about it, just because I’m not on the coaching staff. I can’t call it. Just wasn’t the best fit, but I’m glad to be here.”

Jones didn’t have a lot to say on his exit, but this statement could be an indication of what the locker room is currently like.

Ultimately, he is no longer with the Patriots and was recently claimed by the Las Vegas Raiders, hoping to get another shot with a new team.

While Jones thought New England wasn’t his best fit, he did add, “I’m glad to be here” when talking about his new team.

The Raiders began the year with a rocky start similar to the Patriots.

However, they have started to turn things around lately, winning their first two games with Antonio Pierce as the interim head coach.

The majority of reports from the Raiders camp have pointed to positivity within the locker room, a situation that Jones will certainly appreciate moving forward.
