Today’s NBA is quite different from the good-old days.
We don’t mean it’s better or worse; it’s just different.
And a lot of that has to do with the players’ mindset and approach to the game.
We don’t see that many Kevin Garnetts or Ben Wallaces, and it’s more than evident that most players nowadays are all bark, no bite — again, we don’t necessarily mean that’s a bad thing.
That’s why former NBA star Paul Pierce seems to be in awe — and cracking a laugh — about the fact that everybody in this era seems to be afraid of Draymond Green.

Green has been tangled up in countless confrontations, and more often than not, whoever he’s facing ends up backing up.
Green has openly called Rudy Gobert ‘soft,’ and that would’ve granted some special treatment back in the day.
Now, the league is always looking to make an example out of Green.
He was suspended five games for his latest involvement in an altercation, but he seems to be just fine with that villain persona he’s created over the years.
Ironically, though, Green also talked a lot of trash to Pierce in his final season, and it’s not like Pierce did anything to defend himself, either.
