The Minnesota Timberwolves have been stuck in the middle of the pack for many seasons now.
But with the rise of Anthony Edwards to stardom, the Timberwolves may finally have a chance at making a deep run in the playoffs.
Last season, Edwards had a terrific year and even made his first-ever NBA All-Star appearance.
In the 2023-24 NBA season, Edwards has only gotten better and has led the Timberwolves to an amazing 10-3 record to start the season.
Upon seeing Edwards’ phenomenal start to the season, Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George hailed the 22-year-old as a superstar, via “Podcast P with Paul George” on Twitter.

While it’s a huge claim to label a young player as a superstar in the NBA, Edwards has certainly earned that appreciation from George.
In the first 13 games of the season, Edwards has averaged 25.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game for the Timberwolves.
It’s no surprise that behind Edwards’ strong start to the season, the Timberwolves are currently the number one seed in the Western Conference.
Now, the question is whether he can maintain this level of form throughout the season or not.
If he can, the Timberwolves may very well enter the 2024 playoffs as one of the favorites to lift the prestigious Larry O’Brien trophy.
It would be the first NBA title in franchise history for the Timberwolves, who were added to the league before the start of the 1989-90 NBA season.
