The Las Vegas Raiders have been on a tear since moving Antonio Pierce into their interim head coach role.
They have won two of their last three games, with the only loss of the bunch coming in a close battle with the Miami Dolphins.
Ahead of their Week 12 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Raiders’ PR team announced two moves the team made.
#Raiders roster moves:
– Signed FB Jakob Johnson to the practice squad
– Released TE Jesse James from the practice squad

Jakob Johnson was signed to the practice squad, forcing them to release Jesse James from the practice squad.
While this might not have a direct impact on their upcoming matchup with the Chiefs, it does show that the Raiders aren’t afraid to make moves, no matter how small they seem.
This team seems energized and motivated under Pierce.
Their recent attitudes are vastly different than when Josh McDaniels was at the helm.
With any luck, the team can continue their hot streak, hoping to sneak into the playoffs.
The AFC is a difficult conference to break through given the strength of the top teams.
If the Raiders can go into this matchup with the Chiefs, and at the very least give them a run for their money, it will confirm that they have not thrown in the towel, excited to play for Pierce moving forward.
It remains to be seen if Pierce is a part of the Raiders’ long-term plans as head coach, especially given his interim title.
However, if he can keep them on this run, he’ll at least force a conversation in the offseason.
