The Philadelphia Eagles got to exact some revenge in Week 11 as they beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 21-17.
The marquee matchup had to have been circled on the Eagles’ calendar considering they had to spend the whole offseason watching the Chiefs celebrate a Super Bowl title.
Philadelphia made sure to take away some of the things Kansas City likes to do offense, primarily sending extra attention toward Travis Kelce, who is Patrick Mahomes’ only reliable target in the passing game right now.
Although the Eagles struggled to move the football themselves, they still did well to make plays down the stretch when it mattered most.
Philadelphia did luck out as Marquez Valdes-Scantling dropped the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Regardless, the Eagles came away with a win and drew high praise from Nick Wright, via “First Things First.”
“The Philadelphia Eagles, coming off a Super Bowl loss, have lost one game. They just went into Arrowhead off a bye, were down 10 at the half and won. I don’t care that it wasn’t pretty. They know how to win. I give them massive credit,” Wright said.

Beating Kansas City on the road is no easy feat, so Philadelphia should be proud for how they responded to the early adversity and stuck together to pull out the victory.
Championship teams are able to win in multiple ways and the Eagles have proven they can run up the scoreboard or hunker down and win on the back of their defense.
At 9-1, Philadelphia looks poised to make the Super Bowl again though they still have a ways to go to get there.
