The Phoenix Suns are finally righting the course of the ship.

It was a tough start to the season, with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal both missing time with injuries.

And even though Beal will be on the shelf for the foreseeable future, having Booker paired with Kevin Durant gives them a chance to win every single game they play.

That’s why it wasn’t surprising to see them get easily past the struggling Portland Trail Blazers.

However, that will still be a night Durant will never forget, as he reached several special milestones on Tuesday night.

As shown by the Suns’ PR team, Durant just played his 1,000th career game and moved into 11th all-time in scoring after putting up 31 points on Chauncey Billups’ team.

Have yourself a night, KD!

The Suns moved to 8-6 and the eighth spot in the Western Conference.

Of course, that’s far from where we thought they’d be after 14 games, considering they’re one of the deepest teams in the league and have an elite Big 3.

Still, that Big 3 has yet to be on the court together in the regular season, and while Durant is obviously one of the greatest players of all time, he’s no longer capable of single-handedly willing a team to a win night in and night out, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

This team will eventually get as far as their three stars can carry them.

If Beal manages to shake off his nagging back injury, they’re going to be the biggest threat to dethrone the reigning champions.
