Jerry Jones bought the Dallas Cowboys in 1989.
The team has won three Super Bowls with him at the helm, so it’s safe to say he’s had his fair share of great times in charge of the organization.
However, perhaps it’s been too long, and he doesn’t remember the feeling all that well, at least judging by his latest statement.
Following the Cowboys’ big win over the Washington Commanders, the controversial owner stated that he didn’t remember a better day with the Cowboys than Thursday, even ahead of the Super Bowl wins (via Jon Machota).
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones: “I don’t know that I’ve had a day like this. And I’ll include them all, I’ll put Super Bowls in there, I don’t know if I’ve ever had a better day with the Cowboys than today.”

Of course, beating a divisional rival by a margin on Thanksgiving is a great feeling.
Celebrating touchdowns by eating turkey on the sidelines and looking like a legitimate Super Bowl contender makes everybody feel well, even if you’re beating a team that hasn’t been so good this season.
But that should never compare to winning the big game.
Even so, there’s a chance his team will give Jones a reminder of what it’s like to hoist the Vince Lombardi trophy once and for all.
The Cowboys are riding a three-game winning streak and look quite solid on both sides of the field.
They still need to prove themselves against actual contenders and winning teams, but Dak Prescott is having his best season in years, and their defense has taken over when their number has been called.
There’s still plenty of football to be played, and anything can happen, but Cowboys fans should really like their chances right now.
