Some people noted that LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers struggled a bit last season when it came to his shot-making.

He was still a definitive scorer and leader but it looked like he just wasn’t shooting as he had in previous seasons.

NBA analyst Jason Timpf says that James has shaken out of that slump and is looking better than ever.

He noted that 59 players have attempted at least 100 jumpers and James’ 1.18 points per shot ranks fifth in the league.

In other words, James is pushing past his struggles from last season and is again scoring like a champion.

LeBron James has been one of the best jump shooters in the league so far this season.

59 players have attempted at least 100 jumpers and LeBron’s 1.18 points per shot ranks 5th on that list.

Beginning to look like last year’s poor shooting was an outlier, similar to 2015.

Even in a much younger league filled with plenty of up-and-coming stars, James is still dominating.

So far this season, James’ field-goal percentage is 57.8%.

That is the highest field-goal percentage of his career, although the season is still very long and that number can definitely sink down in the months ahead.

His three-point percentage is also at a career-high, with 41.4%.

Last season, he was 50% from the field and 32.1% from beyond the arc.

Despite his age and LA’s deeper roster, James continues to perform like someone who needs to lead his squad in every way – and it’s been working.

The Lakers are part of a very crowded and competitive Western Conference but currently have a 9-7 record and are the seventh-best team.

There are a number of stars in the lineup who are supposed to be sharpshooters for the squad and it is somewhat surprising to see James leading his team in this way at this point in his career.

Then again, James is doing things that no 38-year-old NBA star ever has so it’s not that surprising at all.
