The New York Jets are basically all but eliminated from the playoffs as they suffered another embarrassing loss in Week 12, this time against the Miami Dolphins.

The Jets lost to the Dolphins, 34-13, and the result was predictable given that the team decided to start Tim Boyle at quarterback.

Boyle replaced Zach Wilson late in their Week 11 loss to the Buffalo Bills and the career backup got a chance to show what he could do.

However, Boyle struggled against the Miami defense as he only mustered up 179 passing yards, one touchdown, and threw two interceptions.

Boyle’s worst play of the day came right at the end of the first half as he got picked off and it was returned 99 yards for a Dolphins touchdown.

The Jets’ offense is in shambles and former NBA star Kendrick Perkins pointed out that the team couldn’t pin this loss on Wilson, via his personal Twitter account.

Can’t Blame Zach Wilson for this embarrassing performance by the Jets!!! Don’t mind me tho and Carry the hell on…

Wilson has been the easy scapegoat for New York fans given how bad he’s looked under center, but the offense as a whole is a mess.

The offensive line is one of the worst units in the league and that showed against a Miami front that was able to get pressure on Boyle all day.

Garrett Wilson is one of the most talented young receivers in the league, but outside of him the team doesn’t have another reliable option in the passing game.

Breece Hall also looks great, but the offensive line’s struggles make it hard for him to find any running lanes.

Overall, this looks like a lost year for New York and they should be looking ahead to 2024.
