At this point of the 2023 NFL season, there doesn’t seem to be anything else the New York Jets can do to turn around their misfortunes.

The Jets have looked rudderless in recent weeks and the bad times kept rolling as they got stomped on by the Miami Dolphins in Week 12.

New York fell to Miami, 34-13, and didn’t give fans any sort of hope or optimism that this team could finish the year out strong.

Almost from the opening kick, the Jets looked severely outmatched and it was apparent that their offense wasn’t going to be able to do much given Tim Boyle was under center.

Boyle drew the start over Zach Wilson and he didn’t prove he was the man for the job as he recorded just 179 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

At 4-7, it feels like the Jets’ season is just about over because their odds of making the playoffs are about as low as they possibly can be, via Rich Cimini of ESPN.

Not that it needs to be said, but …

According to the Playoff Predictor, the loss it drops the Jets to a less than 1% chance, per ESPN analytics. #Jets

New York is basically out of the running and should begin to look toward the 2024 NFL season given the current state of affairs.

It’s a disappointing reality for a franchise and fanbase that came into the year expecting to contend for a Super Bowl, but the Aaron Rodgers injury doomed them from the start.

There’s legitimate talent on the roster, but now the organization needs to figure out a few things in the offseason.

Everything from the players to the coaches needs to be reviewed and changes are surely coming in the next few months.
