The Houston Texans franchise has to be ecstatic with how well their 2023 NFL Draft class is looking as C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson Jr. look like foundational pieces to build around on the offensive and defensive end.
Stroud and Anderson were selected No. 2 and No. 3 overall, respectively, and the Texans’ gamble is paying off given that the team is in the hunt for a playoff spot in just their first year under first-time head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Ryans has made his imprint on the young roster as they’re a tough, physical, and smart football team that has been competitive every week.
Aside from Stroud and Anderson, though, Houston also may have struck gold with Tank Dell who is establishing himself as the alpha receiver in the passing game.
After Nico Collins got off to a strong start to the year, he’s taken a backseat to Dell who has become Stroud’s favorite target.
Dell recorded his seventh receiving touchdown of the season in the Texans’ Week 12 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars and set a franchise record in the process via PFF.

Despite being undersized, Dell has a knack for route running and has strong hands that enable him to come down with those catches in the end zone.
What’s even more impressive is that Dell has a quarter of the regular season left to add to the record.
The Stroud-Dell connection has been an exciting one for fans to watch this season and it’ll be fun to see just how far the young duo can take Houston.
