Andy Reid Opens Up On Key Chiefs WR Missing Raiders Game

The Kansas City Chiefs got back to their winning ways on Sunday.

After a disappointing home loss in Week 11, the Chiefs needed to respond on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders.

They were able to do just that without one of their key wide receivers on the field.

Kadarius Toney missed the game due to ankle and hip injuries.

Andy Reid pointed out that he was uncertain about Toney being able to take hits.

According to Jordan Foote, Reid said, “I’m not sure he could’ve taken a hit, and that’s kind of what it came down to.”

If the head coach is saying that you know the injuries must be serious.

Kansas City has a dire need for pass catchers in their offense.

Outside of Travis Kelce, the Chiefs do not have anyone they can count on at wide receiver.

One of the big reasons they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles was their wide receivers’ inability to catch the ball.

They were relying on former fifth-round draft pick Justin Watson and rookie Rashee Rice to lead their receiving corps.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes can make up for a lot of the issues on offense.

But, if the Chiefs are serious about contending for a Super Bowl they need more from their pass catchers.

Opposing defenses will do their best to try and take Kelce out of the game.

That means these young and inexperienced wide receivers in Kansas City must be ready to produce when their number is called.
