The Carolina Panthers have been one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL this season.

They selected quarterback Bryce Young with the first overall pick in this recent NFL Draft.

Plenty of hype came to the Panthers after that pick as it looked like they found their quarterback of the future.

Also, the Panthers hired Frank Reich as their new head coach in the offseason.

He was supposedly an offensive guru who could help develop Young into a star.

Instead, everything has gone awry for the Panthers.

Through 11 games, the Panthers have a record of 1-10, and decided to fire Reich as head coach.

What is odd about that firing is how some of the Panthers players found out.

According to Mike Kaye via Dov Kleiman, multiple Panthers players found out about the move through social media.

A meeting was called shortly thereafter.

If this is true, things just keep getting uglier and uglier for the Panthers.

Not having someone from within the organization reach out to the players first is wrong.

But, this is why the Panthers have been one of the most poorly run teams in football.

This is a lost season for the Panthers and to make matters worse they do not have a first-round pick.

Their only chance of being competitive next year is if they have a slam-dunk hire at head coach.

We have seen coaches in the past turn a franchise around in one year.

Carolina better hope they have someone in mind who can develop Young and bring this team back to relevancy.
