The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t fared well this season.
However, LeBron James continues to put up big numbers — albeit most of them in garbage time or fourth quarters.
He recently became the league’s all-time leader in minutes played, and he keeps on adding to his scoring tally every single time he sets foot on the court.
James is about to turn 39 years old, meaning he’s inching closer to the end of his career than to the beginning.
Nonetheless, former Detroit Pistons star John Salley believes it wouldn’t be shocking to see him play for as long as Tom Brady did, meaning he could play until he’s 45.
In the latest edition of “Undisputed,” Salley told Skip Bayless that James looks better than he did when he was 28 years old.

Also, with the way defense is played nowadays and James’ physical dominance when he drives to the rim, he could still be efficient for another six years.
Truth be told, James does look better than the average player, and the fact that he’s still going strong at this age is quite remarkable, but he’s by no means better than he was when he was 28 years old.
James can no longer play elite defense, and that’s not a knock on him by any means — he shouldn’t even be doing what he’s doing on the court.
He’s a privileged athlete, perhaps the greatest of his time, so he could definitely keep defying Father Time and play for another five years.
Whether he’ll do it at this level or not remains to be seen.
