NBA fans will always debate if Michael Jordan or LeBron James is the better basketball player.

Since this is a matter of opinion, there will never be a definitive answer but people will continue to be asked.

NBA stars have been questioned about this many times, and on Tuesday’s episode of “Undisputed,” basketball legend John Salley gave his opinion.

He said that Jordan is the better basketball player, partly because “none of us slept well” when they played against him.

He had high praise for James too but he reiterated the point that Jordan was a trailblazer in multiple ways.

Salley played in the NBA from 1986 to 1999, which means that he got to spar with Jordan many times and obviously didn’t get the chance to square off against James.

He admits that back in the 1990s, he told the press that Jordan wasn’t the greatest of all time but he said that was simply because he was trying to create good TV moments.

Years later, he can openly state that Jordan is indeed the best of the best and the man he’d rather play with.

Salley commented on the work ethic, dedication, and drive that James has, something that other players in the league currently lack.

He said that James is solely focused on the game, another trait that Jordan had.

Salley obviously has great respect and affinity for both Jordan and James but he is going to pick Jordan as the greatest of all time.

He won’t be the last NBA icon to give an opinion which means that this debate will continue to thrive long into the future.
