The Seattle Seahawks have dealt with significant injuries to key members of their team throughout the season.
While this is not a unique struggle given the weekly physicality of the NFL, injuries can be difficult for any team to overcome.
One of the most notable injuries to the Seahawks’ roster has been at the running back position.
Kenneth Walker III was putting together a great campaign, a steady force in the Seahawks’ rushing game.
However, he has been dealing with an oblique injury for the past few weeks.
The Seahawks are slated to face off against the Dallas Cowboys for Thursday Night Football in Week 13.
While there was initial optimism that he would play in this game, a recent Pete Carroll update says otherwise.
In a press conference shared via reporter Gregg Bell, Carroll indicated that Walker’s health situation has not gotten better throughout the week.
Pete Carroll says he hasn’t seen anything this week that shows #Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker is better from his oblique injury. Says Walker will “have questions” about playing at Cowboys Thursday.
No indications he will.

Carroll said there are “questions” regarding Walker and his status for this game.
Walker has gotten plenty of opportunities to heal considering he didn’t play in the Seahawks’ Thanksgiving game.
The team would greatly appreciate his services against the Cowboys, who have one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Without him, as Carroll mentions, they will have to turn to Zach Charbonnet, perhaps adding in Kenny McIntosh as well.
Charbonnet has been serviceable in Walker’s absence, rushing for 47 yards last week while adding in four receptions.
If Walker does not play, and Charbonnet can take the next step forward that the team is hoping, the Seahawks’ rushing game might be good enough to compete with the Cowboys.
