The Phoenix Suns were taken down by the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night and suffered a disappointing 112-105 loss.

But that wasn’t the end of their bad news: during the game, Devin Booker tweaked his ankle.

Following some time on the bench in the third quarter after twisting his right ankle, Booker re-entered the game.

Speaking to Duane Rankin later, Kevin Durant spoke about his teammate’s insistence on coming back into the game and his drive to help the team win.

“We probably would’ve told him to sit down and get his ankle right, but he just love the team so much, he love helping us win,” Durant said about Booker.

“Hopefully, the next couple of days, get some treatment and his ankle gets better,” Durant added.

Booker was having an off-night before the injury, having gone just 1-of-8 from the field and 0-of-2 from beyond the three-point line in his 19 minutes before the ankle mishap.

Perhaps he felt like he hadn’t done enough for his team and that is the reason why he wanted to come back on the court.

Booker tried, as did Durant and others, but the entire team wasn’t working well and shot less than 30% from three-point territory against the Raptors.

Fans are now worried about what’s next for Booker, who has already missed time this season due to an injury in the same right leg.

If Booker’s injury is serious, he could miss more games when the team needs him most.

The Suns will next square off against the Denver Nuggets this Friday before they take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday night.

Tuesday evening will have the Suns battle the Los Angeles Lakers in the next round of the In-Season Tournament.

Phoenix hopes that Booker is back by then but injuries haven’t been kind to him this season.
